About the song
A prayer roared through thunder, a gratitude carved from scars. The soul thanks the storm for the lightning in its veins — love and light, my eternal guide. Faith unbroken through the endless fight, rising anew with every breath, grateful even in the face of death.
In the story
True gratitude does not ask for the storm to be gone. It sees the gift within it.
Lyrics
Thankful to God
For the storm in my veins
Lightning strikes
Yet I stand unchained
A mind reborn
A soul ablaze
Through the dark
I walk unphased
Thankful to God
For the fire inside
Love and light
My eternal guide
Faith unbroken
Through the endless fight
Thankful to God
For the gift of life
Shadows fell
But the dawn still came
A positive mind
Ignites the flame
Health restored
Strength regained
Through trials fierce
My soul remained
Thankful to God
For the fire inside
Love and light
My eternal guide
Faith unbroken
Through the endless fight
Thankful to God
For the gift of life
Through thunder’s roar
Through winds that scream
God's love flows like a raging stream
I rise anew
With every breath
Grateful even in the face of death
Thankful to God
For the fire inside
Love and light
My eternal guide
Faith unbroken
Through the endless fight
Thankful to God
For the gift of life
